“Last Saturday I had a chance to race Lakeland 5 Passes- 50km (+/-3000m ?) long race along some of the most scenic parts of the Lake District. My and @missinglinkcoach main goal was to finish uninjured, and treat the race as a long tempo session pre Lakeland100- not a full effort. I managed that for 95% of the race, moving well without pushing too hard. It wouldn’t be me if I wouldn’t get lost, more less 5km before the finish I took the wrong turn and lost my lead, so the final part of the race was little bit harder than planned, only because I wanted to catch the first guy. In the end I’ve managed to finish first ?, uninjured, feeling fresh the next day and without any issues ? I would highly recommend any of the @ascend_events races, they are really well organized and without any nonsense. RD knows how to design the route, for it to be demanding and entertaining. It’s good to be back racing and winning again, been a long break since end of February ? Only one month left till the LL100, my final attempt at this race ?”
Well done to everyone who ran or raced this weekend
