Mountain Fuelled Ski Racing

Francesca LeeThis season has been my first season using mountain fuel and I have really enjoyed it! After having tried it in February for the first time I soon came on board team Mountain Fuel because not only does it help prepare your body for your next event, but it also tastes amazing! Unfortunately I missed 3 or 4 weeks training and racing midseason due to an injury, so when I returned to snow in March I was keen to get straight back into it! We had a few days training before heading to the British Championships and I used the Strawberry Ultimate Recovery Fuel after training sessions so I could be fully prepared for the next day and minimise the effects of fatigue.

Francesca LeeOn race days I used Xtreme Energy Fuel Blackcurrant before the race runs so I know when I’m in the start gate that I can go full gas and not worry about running out of energy. A highlight of the races was finishing 3rd U21 in the British National Junior Championships. I had some bad luck in the slalom races, straddling in one race and crashing out in the other. However this was redeemed by the end of the season as I scored PB result in Slalom just before the end of the season in Val Thorens.
