    I often struggle to eat on long ultras and it was no different this year at the GRP. I tried to nibble early and often but the food on offer was mostly not doing it for me. By half way I was losing energy and being sick. Raw energy was easy on my stomach and gave me enough energy to keep going. That along with nibbles if ginger and date feel good bars saved my race, git my stomach sorted and let me run more and eat again.

    AKA Rocket Fuel. A brilliant product. I used to rely on porridge to fuel my runs. That worked ok but it took a few km’s before i stopped feeling heavy and bloated. I came across morning fuel in Up and Running. I started by making porridge with it. My longer distance race times came down as a result. I didn’t feel heavy at the start of a race and I felt sustained after my run. I also suffered less from post races crashes. I was initially nervous to just have it as a shake (surely it couldn’t be enough to fuel me?!) but I’ve found the shakes even better. It’s easy when you’re travelling to race to as you can guarantee what you’ll be having before a race, not having to scramble round the local supermarket to find a porridge pot that isn’t full of sugar. Morning Fuel is super stuff and it comes highly recommended.

    I’ve just used the Energy Fuel for The LAP Ultra over the weekend. I topped up nutritionally at the Feed Stations with food but the Energy Fuel really kept me going on between! I’ve struggled with nausea and sickness on Ultras in the past so I decided to try Mountain Fuel and I’m pleased to say I felt great, no nausea or sickness….what a relief! I used the Blackcurrant flavour but I’ve also tried the Raw and Tropical and each flavour gets a thumbs up from me. I’m so happy that I’ve found something that works for me and I would highly recommend others try it too.

    Tried this after it being recommended on a multi day running adventure. Had seen it before but never liked the sound of it but it taste really lovely. Quite sweet actually as I just add almond milk to it and drink as a cold shake. If I need a morning kick before a long run I also add a shot of espresso and then it is perfecto 🥳

    i have tried a lot of different recovery products, cheaper and more expensive one. Mountain fuel is single handedly the best product I have used.

    Other products I have tried have give you that chalky, metallic taste, but for me hit me in the teeth straight away! Once you consumed it, you then wait to see how he reacts with your stomach.

    MF is quality on every level, taste (chocolate) is great with milk/milk substitute/water. No reaction in the mouth and very easy on the stomach.

    Great product and my go to.

    I’ve been using the raw energy fuel seriously for over a year now, most recently to complete the Lakeland 100 and boiling hot George Fisher Tea Round. The taste is great, the formula is perfect for managing hydration as well as nutrition and it doesn’t stain your water bottles!
    For longer races/runs I’ve paired up raw energy fuel with feel good bars, sports jellies and chia gels (as well as aid station food) without any complications. For anything under 6 hours I’m happy just to use the raw energy fuel.
    Raw energy fuel will be first in my bag for UTMB next week.

    Used the energy and recovery powder pre, during and post rides at the Dragon 215k sportive and the Marmotte 175k sportive. No issues consuming during the 9 hr rides, kept hydration levels up, especially during the Marmotte, when the temperature reached high 30c’s.

    Big fan of the strawberry recovery fuel. A great treat for when you get back from a long run, in a blender with milk to get a lovely frothy milkshake that you have to try to keep away from the kids until you’ve polished it off. So decadent! But saying then, i’ve also mixed this in the early hours in a budget hotel room stirring into a pint of milk with a naff tea stirrer to then decant into a steel bottle for someone to pass me on the race finish line. So nice and all the good stuff you need for recovery!

    Been using this for about six months combined with lemon & lime sports jelly. Love the Tropical xtreme energy fuel. This kept me going for 168 miles up the Summer Spine in very hot conditions. No stomach issues. Also use the chocolate recovery fuel which makes a great hot drink before bed too 💤🥰
