Sports Jelly
Two years in the making and tested in extreme races across the world our hydrogel based Mountain Fuel Sport Jelly is a easy on the stomach,  tasty and a refreshing alternative to the current marketed sports gels.  Our unique blend of ingredients ensure that you can rely on our Sports Jelly as part of a successful performance nutrition strategy during all activities, including team games,  running, triathlons, and cycling sportive events, as well as open water swimming.

The Sports Jelly is fundamentally different to a traditional gel. We selected a specific pectin which enables us to encapsulate the multi source carbohydrate in a natural hydrogel, melting in your mouth and passing through your system without any worries of GI (stomach issues), while providing a sustained energy release. The process we follow enables us to hydrate the jelly while encapsulating the carbohydrate and minerals to ensure you do not require additional fluid and the Jelly passes through your system efficiently making it very easy on the stomach – No gut bombs and perfect for sporty kids through to adults. By utilising g a hydrogel in a sports gel we have helped athletes of all abilities who previously struggled or simply could not use traditional sports gels due to the impact on their digestive systems. Having successfully helped  IBD sufferers (Crohn’s & Colitis) to enjoy their racing again the Mountain Fuel Sports Jellies have been described by many as ‘game changers’.

These packs have helped get me through my first 3 Ultra events and I have just taken delivery of my latest order, ready for my 4th. They are a perfect mix of gels and jelly (you may not have tried jellies from rival gel-only brand providers – but I would say they are super-palatable and easy on the tummy) and with and without added caffeine, too, so you can plan in some granularity your fuelling strategy checkpoint-by-checkpoint; and when to take the caffeine boost etc. Or – simply gauge in the event itself and have the luxury of a choice of 3, dependent upon what you feel your body and taste-buds are crying out for at the time!

Great Product and Great Customer Service

    John Constantin (verified owner)

I’ve never used gels before. As I had signed up to the Lap (Sep 2023 event) and Mountain Fuel were the feeding station supplier on the course, I sent off for this taster pack to “acclimatise” before the event. The flavours were great with no adverse effects either during testing.

During the event went straight to the box of gels at each feeding station and tried other flavours (apple & cinnamon was pretty good too). Finished well and recovery has been remarkably strong.

PS: the handwritten note included in the delivery wishing me well at the Lap was a great touch. Fantastic customer engagement.

    Super yummy!

    Emily Geertruida Cowper-Coles

I dont usually like gels. In fact I really dislike them. The taste and the texture. But competing at a high level running marathons in mountains means gels are necessary. These ones were actually delicious and power me up the steepest hills over long miles. If I dont have time for breakfast before work they see me through a physical few hours. Fast, friendly and personalised service. Thanks Mountain Fuel! 🙂

    Hydrogel Sports Jelly (non chia)

    Thomas Wren

I’ve tried all colours and flavours within this range and would highly recommend them, my favourite mix is the raw and lemon/lime, especially with the added jelly balls within the gel which helps when riding or running as I struggle taking very liquify gels, especially as they disappear, the hydrogels fell they are substantial enough to sustain you til the next one in your nutrition plan on races. I have struggled previously with many brands as most don’t agree with me (even after training with them), hydrogels are easy on the stomach, love em !!!

    For Cycling

    Alex Thomas

These gels are excellent, I prefer the hydrogel sports jelly and have been using a combo of plain/caffeine on long rides. No stomach problems at all and easy to digest on the move, caffeine gel towards the end of a long ride does the job nicely. I would recommend.

    Love these!

    Helen Carter (verified owner)

I have switched to these gels after using another well known brand for some time. The consistency and the flavours are ideal for me – not too sweet or runny. I used them for the first time on a 20 mile long run and can honestly say I am converted! I will definitely be using them for my marathon in 3 weeks time. Everyone should try these… they don’t know what they are missing.

    New Legs

    Clive Lamb (verified owner)

Tried ‘other’ gels years ago and have avoided them until now, as they didn’t agree with me. MF’s gels and Chia paste were really easy to consume and tasted good. No unnatural chemical taste. No need to glug loads of water to get them down or straight after. This is all good, but the big winner was my legs. Can’t say they turned me into Rocket Man, but almost no muscle pain/stiffness both immediately after a long run and legs ready to run the next day! Never happened before.

    Game changer

    Angus Fyfe

The jellies were recommended by some friends and I warily ordered a taster pack to ease myself in. I have to say my reticence was misplaced and I used the jellies throughout a half marathon training block and during the race itself. Very easy to use and digest on the move and I was able to feel a real kick in energy levels very shortly after taking. I have continued to use the product and have now widened my horizons to include energy bars too.

    The best gels!

    Rebecca Beale (verified owner)

These are my favourite gels for running – anything from half marathon to 100 miles.
The flavour options are good, taste amazing, easy to take and do not leave a sticky/sickly sensation in your mouth. Try them, you will not be disappointed.

    Good selection

    Craig Laskey (verified owner)

I tend to use these on my longer runs / bike rides, they taste great and are easy to digest – they also give that boost during exercise that’s needed.

I’ve stuck with the taster pack because I just don’t know which one I prefer, they are all great and I cannot decide between the standard and Chia gels.

Honest review I absolutely love 75% are amazing

    Adam Hawkins

As in Title yes I started using these two months ago for 100km race have ordered a race season full of nutrition from Mountain Fuel, I love /am amazed at the jellies except like everything some flavours etc are not for me wasn’t bad just not my cup of tea (shhh Chia ones) but still try them as I’m sure other people love different ones that’s why I started with taster pack used all the rest they are fab as such a gel I have 3rd jelly every 15 minutes on my long sessions and can wrap up part a used Jelly – safe in the knowledge because of its jelly less likely to leak everywhere covering me in a sticky mess ! Happened many a time😂🤣🤬! Give taster pack a try you won’t be disappointed easy on stomach great selection to suit even the fussy ones (like me) !

Great way to try the fantastic range of gels

    Alex Pulis (verified owner)

These gels are great. They don’t taste artificial. They have a natural taste and each one is distinctive enough that you are unlikely to get flavour fatigue. The jelly is a nice consistency and easily swallowed. The chia varieties are slightly thicker and textured but still easily swallowed on the run.

All the gels are excellent and this mixed bundle is a good way to buy enough for some training try-outs and then a big event. The Chia gels are my first choice, and the cola gels particularly good when things are starting to look grim.

Tasty and easy on the stomach

    Oliver May (verified owner)

Super tasty flavours, some of the best I’ve tried, not too sickly sweet.
Easy to open and consume whilst running, as well as being easy on the stomach.
Other products can be sticky if spilled (easy when running) and leave a residue in the mouth. These are not sticky at all and don’t need to be washed down with water.
