Chia seeds provide athletes with a healthy fuel for stamina and endurance, as well as anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Coconut sugar and fruit juice deliver multi-transportable carbohydrates, maximizing energy provision. And the natural electrolytes sodium, magnesium, calcium and potassium are delivered through sea salt. Cinnamon improves glucose sensitivity and also helps combat exercise induced oxidative stress. This powerful combination of ingredients ensures you have a reliable and dependable energy source to fuel your activities, whatever the intensity.

    Sustained energy

    Jonny Cox

Have had some promising results whilst taking these in on the earlier stages of longer races, the energy release is more sustaining and keeps me chugging along through to the end. The Chia Jellies can work really well in these early stages to set yourself up for a consistently paced performance right the way through the end.

I don’t get on with normal gels. So I tried these and haven’t looked back. Nice and tangy not too sweet. You can eat these all day and doesn’t mess with your stomach.

Easy on the stomach but not a favourite.

    Gareth Jones (verified owner)

Having got on well with Sports Jelly gels and being impressed with the lack of ‘feeling yucky’ after any long distance runs, I thought to try these Ultra Chia Gels. Once again, no issues after my run but I just found both of the flavours hard to get down. May just be me but I will stick with the Sports Jelly ones in future.

Finally found a gel that doesn’t make me sick!

    Stella Blackburn (verified owner)

After trying a vast majority of gels on the market and completing 3 marathons where nausea and vomiting were part of the course, I tried the Sports Jelly+ as it has more carbs than a normal gel. The taste is great- not strong or sweet so no taste exhaustion… they do not affect my stomach at all yet you can feel the energy boost. The big test was on a recent marathon. Not only was I not sick at all but I also knocked over 20 minutes off my previous time 😊😊
amazing! I’ve tried other super gels with extra carbs but they are either too sweet or too thick – the Mountain Fuel ones are just perfect!

  6. Tessa Bailey

    Taste pretty good!

    Tessa Bailey (verified owner)

The raspberry chia gels are surprisingly raspberry-like – very tangy, the chia seeds give a strange but OK texture which is actually a nice change from sticky orange gels that are available elsewhere. The packet is hard to open with tired/cold fingers but since the top doesn’t tear completely off at least you don’t have the little bit to pick up off the floor/extra bits of rubbish. Gels are gels, so I could never rate them 5/5 🙂 but am a novice ultra-runner and seem to have been ok on my long runs so far (up to 19 miles) without feeling I’ve got behind on my fuelling, or having to stop and chew food. Thanks!

Love the apple and cinnamon flavour.

Tangy tasty treat to perk you up!

    Neil Dixon (verified owner)

This gel is amazing. I love the tangy taste and it is easy to swallow but fills you up a lot more than a Sports Jelly (or any other kind of gel that I have ever tried). Easy on the stomach, and makes a lovely treat to look forward to partway through my ultra runs. The apple/cinnamon one is just as delicious too 😉

    Delicious fruity boost

    catspurden@googlemail.com

The chia gels are the tastiest gels. Can’t even bring myself to swallow standard gels from other manufacturers. These are basically a fruity energy-filled treat.

    GAME CHANGER !!

    leescott (verified owner)

I’ve been using Mountainfuel for my nutrition for the last 4 years. I’ve tried so many other brands and nothing gave me what I needed especially in the last 1/4 of a race. Sports jelly has been a game changer for me ! I have one flavour that is my go to
“lemon and lime”. Yesterday I ran 46 miles and tested the new Chia apple and cinnamon “WOW”. Flavour, texture and energy was amazing and the last 10 miles was easy. You’ve go to give these a go.

Sometimes with gels you find an overwhelming sweet taste – these aren’t – I just live them

Gels for people who don't like gels

    Richard Rothwell

I’d steered away from gels for some time as I’d found them too sugary and sweet. Tired the Chia Gels on some long rides and got on with them really well. Not sickly and no sugary ‘hit’; just sustained energy. Raspberry one is a particular favourite as it has a sharp tasting edge which I like. Definitely going to sue these when racing or riding long distances.
